After -- years of military service in public ---- 2 in -------- -------- and brought to completion ------ ------ 2 -------- formerly his country house and haven in this place the fifteenth day of July in the Year of Our Lord 1796 at the age of 72
[ B29. HS: d. July 1797 aged 62. PR: i. July 1797 aged 62. However, Probate for his Will was granted in Sep 1796, 10 months previously. The inscription is not classical Latin; it suggests he d. 1796 aged 72 ]
